Monthly Survey measures in real-time the basic hotel variables defining the performance of the Greek hotels, such as occupancy rate and the average rate of double room.

The research refers both to the Hotel Performance Estimation of the current tourism season and to the serious issues faced by hoteliers in the operation of their businesses.    

The Annual Survey for the Hotel Sector in 2023 carried out by RIT on behalf of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, was presented today during a press conference. The President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Mr. Alexandros Vasilikos, emphasized that the Annual Survey has now become an institution and constitutes a reliable national indicator for the hotel market and the development of tourism in our country.

This is the second survey carried out by ITEP on behalf of Google Hellas regarding the sustainability of Greek hotels. The purpose of this research is to investigate the readiness of the Greek hotels for the “green” transformation and to record the needs for information on sustainability issues, in order to design the new Sustainability Education Program.
